Homework 6, question 1

When calculating the PE, cut off, and estimated standard error, I know how to do all this i'm just confused because there is 2 data sets. Do we compute 2 separate confidence intervals for each set, or combing them into 1? Thank you!

Hi yasmine,

Although we are talking about two population means,
there is only ONE target parameter.
So, we only have one confidence interval.

Briefly take look at page 7 and 8 in Unit 11 slide.
It will provide you a sufficient clarification.
